offering peach tea and 100plus to the deceased for qing ming leh ffs people are so innovative nowadays man. on top of being super comic. anw i spent half the day destroying my lungs at two different temples today but well. lifes like that.
and i think there are many long forgotten relics out there in hidden in the nooks and crannys of urban singapore that people have neglected with time. one of them is COUNTRY MANNA. sigh how sad.
i had dinner there today, and the food there is still as outstanding as it was so many years ago when the place would be full every satudray night. their signature oven baked soup with puff pastry was scrumptious, and the must-eat all time favorite, the spring chicken, was packed with the full flavor of the spices used. in my opinion, the spring chicken at country manna is still the best ever. always end off with the brownie as i did, the chewy oversweet confection will surely keep your spirits up for the rest of the night.
